After a weekend spent wrenching on cars, I felt it was time to do some driving. A friend of mine had never seen two of my favorite local roads (Highland Valley and Palomar Mountain) so we took the s2k up for some spirited driving.
I climbed under the s2000 this morning only to find this:
For those not in the know, that’s my rear swaybar completely torn in half. Already tracking down a new one, looks like I’ll just drive it without one for the next week. Here’s a pic of the whole bar after being removed from the car:
Since I don’t have any inclination to keep a full-time blog, I figure I might as well go ahead and just up some random pictures of stuff I see throughout my week. For your viewing pleasure, I present the first in a possible series of many.
I found this little plant growing in a parking lot near my workplace. I couldn’t even really see the crack through which it’s growing, and every instinct I have says a parking lot is not the best place for a place. Yet for all of that, it looks perfectly happy and lovely. Props to you, little plant!
Every journey begins with a single step. Today I found myself annoyed at an email thread and decided that a bulletin board would work much better. In doing so, I noticed that my webpage was hopelessly out of date. As such, I’m starting over. I created the bulletin board today, although it will take a bit of configuration to get it up and running. Gallery2 is pissing me off (just like Gallery1 did), but I’m sure it must work for some people… I guess I just need to put in some effort on it. I’ve also decided to put this blog back to use, even if it’s full of posts as uninteresting to read as this one. Wordpress has a crappy image manager, but at least I can link to images, like so:
To be honest, I mostly forgot about this blog. Nonetheless, here is some S2K for ya!
